Director of Building Surveying – Ultra-High-End Residential Properties

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Building Surveying to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in conducting building surveys for ultra-high-end residential properties in Central London. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual who can lead our team, drive growth, and deliver exceptional professional and technical services to our clients.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and Manage Team: Direct and oversee the expansion of the team alongside the owner, ensuring high-quality service delivery and fostering professional growth within the team.
  • Technical Expertise: Apply in-depth knowledge of building surveying methodologies to manage and execute complex surveys.
  • Valuation Expertise: Ideally, possess experience in property valuations, particularly within the residential sector.
  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong client relationships, offering expert advice and guidance on building surveys.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue opportunities to expand the client base and generate new business within the ultra-high-end residential sector.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all surveying work meets the highest industry standards and adheres to regulatory requirements.
  • Market Knowledge: Stay informed on market trends, property regulations, and industry innovations to provide relevant and valuable advice to clients.
 
Qualifications and Experience:
 
  • MRICS qualification is essential.
  • Proven experience in building surveying within a residential team, particularly in the ultra-high-end residential sector.
  • Ideally, experience in property valuation.
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of building surveying best practices.
  • Exceptional client relationship management skills.
  • Demonstrated success in business development and generating new business.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Deep understanding of the Central London residential property market.
  • Strong project management and budget control abilities.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach.
