Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has emerged in the Capital for a Planning Officer. In this role, you will be an integral part of a dynamic and supportive team, handling a diverse range of householder, minor, and complex medium planning applications.Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and processing a varied caseload of minor and complex medium applications, including residential-led mixed-use projects, change of use, new build flats, single dwellings, commercial/retail schemes, listed building consents, infill housing, certificates of lawful development, and community infrastructure, among others.
- Conducting paid pre-application consultations.
- Carrying out pre-application discussions and site visits.
- A background in managing S106 agreements, discharging conditions, and finalizing reserved matters is preferred for this position.
The role offers hybrid working arrangements, with the Council's preference being two days per week in the office. The Council is prepared to offer up to £35 per hour for the ideal candidate.
