Job Summary

Currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Land Acquisitions Associate. In this role, you will support the Acquisitions team in identifying, analyzing, and acquiring land for development. You will work closely with senior leadership, brokers, and other stakeholders to assess potential opportunities and drive successful transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in identifying and evaluating potential land acquisition opportunities through market research, site visits, and broker relationships.
  • Conduct due diligence on potential sites, including zoning analysis, environmental assessments, and financial feasibility studies.
  • Prepare financial models and pro formas to assess the viability of land acquisitions.
  • Support negotiations with landowners, brokers, and other stakeholders to secure favorable terms for land purchases.
  • Prepare and present reports and recommendations to senior management regarding potential acquisitions.
  • Coordinate with legal, engineering, and development teams to ensure successful land acquisition and project initiation.
  • Monitor local zoning changes, development regulations, and market trends to inform acquisition strategies.
  • Maintain and update a database of potential acquisition opportunities and market information.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • 2-6 years of experience in land acquisitions, real estate development, or related fields.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in financial modeling and market research.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; experience with GIS or mapping software is a plus.
  • Knowledge of local real estate markets, zoning laws, and development processes.
