They’re seeking an Assistant Project Manager, to be responsible for supporting cross-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle. They're a lean business who operate a flat structure. JOB SUMMARY:

The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for various tasks including supporting and assisting the Project Manager and the team. Assists with overseeing projects, sets deadlines, communicates with clients, works closely with accounting, and follows up on all project activities.
 
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Provides leadership and direction to members of the team.
  • Involved/assists in hiring and selection process, terminations, and performance evaluations.
  • Monitors direct reports attendance and performance.
 
Essential Job Functions:
  • Assists in defining project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
  • Supports in developing detailed work plans, project schedules, estimates, and resource plans.
  • Assists the Project Manager in managing project workflow and resource scheduling.
  • Coordinates with cross-functional teams to ensure all aspects of the project are aligned.
  • Tracks project deliverables using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Ensures project outputs meet quality standards set.
  • Identifies any potential quality issues and provide solutions.
  • Facilitates team meetings and distributes regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Documents project phases and ensures all team members have access to necessary information.
  • Assists in identifying project risks and potential issues.
  • Helps develop strategies to mitigate or address these risks.
  • Tracks and reports project costs to ensure completion on or under budget.
  • Assists in reviewing vendor contracts and invoices.
  • Supports the Project Manager in creating progress reports and proposing necessary adjustments to project constraints.
  • Provide feedback on project processes and assist in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Adheres to local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  • Adheres to company policies and procedures.
  • Follows safety rules and reports incidents to supervisor.
  • Operates with the highest level of conduct, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
 
Skills & Abilities:        
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, practices, techniques, and tools.
  • Ability to manage budgets, expenses, and negotiate with vendors and suppliers.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite or similar programs.
  • Ability to build relationships and interact positively with employees, management staff and customers.
  • Ability to motivate and manage a team, resolve issues, and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Organized with a strong sense of priority and commitment to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to identify issues, address them and provide effective solutions.

Education & Certifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
  • Valid driver license and a clean driving record. Travel may be required for client meetings or site visits.
  • Possession of relevant licenses and certifications, as required by local or state regulations.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus.
