Job Summary
Our client, a leading player in South Africa’s Real Estate industry with over 25 years' experience in commercial, retail, and industrial property management, is expanding rapidly. Although their main portfolio is based in Cape Town, they are also growing in Gauteng. To meet the increasing demands of their business and clients, they are seeking an experienced Commercial Property Manager with a strong background in retail property management to join their dynamic team.The right candidate will be experienced in the management of a mixed portfolio of assets which includes both retail and commercial properties. The role will predominantly be working in Johannesburg; however, they do have properties in the Pretoria area, meaning a mobile candidate is being sought. People skills is an important aspect to the success of this role, and you will need to work closely with a comprehensive support team from on-site Centre Managers to Facilities Management, Property and Lease Administrators. Having your fingers on lots of buttons will mean you are skilled across a variety of disciplines from leveraging a network of brokers, lease negotiation & renewals, to financial aspects including budgeting and property management accounts as well as having a good grasp of the operational management of the properties.
Whilst a property related qualification would be advantageous, we are only looking for someone that can hit the ground running in this role. If you have 7-10 years' retail & commercial property management experience, we would love to chat. Working knowledge of MDA as well as experience in people and tenant/landlord relationship management will secure.
