Often partnering with stakeholders and focused on urban regeneration, their portfolio has grown to over 6,000 units valued at more than R2 billion. They are a lean and dynamic business with certain functions outsourced and a staff complement of over 100 highly valuable employees. They are seeking a dedicated Community Development Manager to act as a tenant liaison on the ground.
This role involves addressing tenant issues, providing professional counseling, and guiding community initiatives. You'll help build strong community bonds, assist with social interventions, and network with local social service providers. Responsibilities include managing tenant induction, publicizing community objectives, and collaborating with community structures. You will also establish focus groups on critical issues and ensure policies are communicated effectively. Duties include briefing Community Development Coordinators, supporting project implementation, and driving initiatives like junior sports teams and playroom programs.
For this position, you should have a degree in Social Sciences, Community Development, Psychology, Sociology, or Social Work, along with at least 3 years of experience in community work and project management and 3 years of staff management experience. Proficiency in MS Office is required. Experience within the Non-profit environment will secure.
