Job Summary

Our client is a London based real estate developer and investment manager dedicated to offering exceptional luxury student accommodation in prime locations. The firm are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead the operational and financial aspects of a new, state-of-the-art luxury student accommodation in Central London. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in securing high rental incomes, managing operational structures, maximising net operational income, and executing effective marketing strategies across various channels, with a strong focus on digital platforms. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth opening and ongoing success of the property.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all day-to-day operations of the accommodation facility.
  • Implement and maintain high standards of service and quality.
  • Develop and manage operational procedures, policies, and standards.
  • Drive high rental incomes by developing and implementing effective marketing and sales strategies.
  • Monitor and manage budgets, financial performance, and profitability.
  • Optimise net operational income through cost-effective management and operational efficiencies.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to attract high-quality tenants.
  • Utilise various marketing channels, with a strong focus on digital platforms
  • Monitor and analyse market trends to adjust strategies and stay competitive.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams and external agencies to maximise exposure and reach.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team dedicated to exceptional service.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing training and development.
  • Ensure a premium resident experience through high-quality service delivery.
  • Address resident concerns and feedback promptly and effectively.
  • Organise and oversee resident events and community-building activities.
  • Ensure the building is maintained to the highest standards.
  • Oversee health and safety compliance and emergency response procedures.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and service providers as necessary.
  • Provide regular updates on operational and financial performance.

Background and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Real Estate, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in student accommodation, hospitality, or luxury accommodation, ideally in London
  • Proven track record of securing high rental incomes and maximizing operational income.
  • In-depth understanding of digital marketing strategies and platforms.
  • Experience with Asian and middle eastern markets
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and financial performance.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
